In my early 20's, I lost about 20 pounds through exercise and leaning to cook. This is when I discovered a way to cook simple and delicious meals that I could afford, along with workouts that required no gym. I've kept off that weight for almost 20 years, continuing to learn and expand my knowledge as I've gotten older. However, it hasn't always been easy. I have had many bouts with binge eating! Basically, I was "healthy" but I had chosen some ways of eating which restricted me and didn't address the emotional issues going on underneath the surface. I would find myself binge eating on a Saturday night and then feeling regretful about it the next day. I would over-exercise sometimes to "get rid of" the calories. Before I met my awesome husband in 2014, I got my Holistic Health Coach Certification through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, and recently became a 2B Mindset Mentor. As a teacher who is now in Year 17, I have developed the love for sharing knowledge and interacting with others to learn about them. I've helped many people through diet & health coaching, meal prep demonstrations, and designing workout plans, AND - so much more importantly - I can help your figure out why you're sabotaging your goals, or why you're not doing what you've committed to. |
